Our Process & Custom Solutions for Cafe dal Mare
The inspiration for this website came from Starbucks' clean and straightforward design. We aimed to create a site that’s easy to navigate and includes detailed explanations for every item.
After understanding the client’s goals and needs, we started by building the site structure. We simplified Starbucks’ design by adding tabs above the menu sliders, making navigation quicker and more intuitive by reducing unnecessary clicks.
Like Starbucks, we created captivating descriptions for each item on the menu, with easy-to-access tabs that include Ingredients, Allergens, and Nutrition details.
Next, we collected all the content. We organized a photoshoot at the café, capturing images of their coffees, cookies, and cakes. After editing and retouching the photos, we incorporated them into the design.
For the website’s design, as with every project, we focused on bringing the atmosphere and spirit of the business into the digital space. We used the café’s color palette to maintain consistency and added wavy design elements to evoke a coastal vibe while keeping the overall look elegant and refined.
To promote their unique catering services, we included a prominent button in the menu and a looping video section right after it to draw attention. On the catering page, we designed a detailed menu and developed a custom form to simplify the quote request process.
Additionally, inspired by Starbucks’ merchandise, we created a merchandise collection with print-on-demand integration. This ensures that when a customer orders a product, it’s automatically printed, packed, and shipped. The collection features items with their café logo and a few Carmel Beach-inspired designs.
The end result is a website that reflects the café’s personality, enhances user experience, and supports their business goals effectively.
